We have some *paw*sitive news to share with you!
When Bob was brought to the SPCA we noticed right away that he was having trouble with stairs and jumping. At only a year old, this was not normal for a puppy. An x-ray confirmed that unfortunately Bob suffers from severe hip dysplasia. We are booking a surgery so he can feel more comfortable. Because of you, Bob is receiving the best treatment and care.
With the State of Emergency, we are counting down the days until his surgery. For now, he is living it up with a loving foster family with around-the-clock care. They shared this happy update on Bob: “Bob is good as gold. We’ve become fast friends. He’s made himself at home and is a majorly adorable sook.”

Exciting Update – July 17th, 2020
Bob is doing fantabulous! He has another appointment and consultation in August that we are looking forward to. His fabulous foster family shared this awesome update with us:
“Bob is doing great. Making lots of friends on our walks. He only seems to be sore when he wakes up from naps but other than that he seems fine! He’s certainly made himself comfortable.”

Officially Adopted – September 17th, 2020
Thanks to you on August 28th Bob completed his consult and had a femoral head excision. His foster family dropped him off in the morning and picked him up after the surgery so he could recover safely at home.
Bob continued to drop into the SPCA for check-ups to make sure everything was healing properly. When our veterinarian gave Bob the final medical clear that he was ready for adoption, his foster family just couldn’t part with saying goodbye. They happily decided to adopt Bob as he fit into their family so perfectly. Bob is safe, happy and healthy thanks to you.
None of this could have been possible without your amazing support. On behalf of Bob, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and dedication to helping local pets in need.
*It is possible there may not be any further updates due to adoption confidentiality. If the family does provide us with some more updates and pictures of Bob we will share them here. Thank you!*
