HRM Animal Redemption Centre
Who We Are
HRM Animal Redemption Centre is contracted by the Halifax Municipality to provide shelter for animals that are in violation of the Halifax Animal by-law A-700 and critically injured cats picked up by HRM Animal Services.
Along with providing a safe environment, our dedicated staff offer care and rehabilitation. Animals are treated by a veterinarian as needed. Animals that are not claimed within 72 business hours are assessed for adoption to determine the home environment most suitable for them.
HRM Animal Redemption Centre proudly practices no-kill principles, meaning we do not euthanize animals for space. Read more about no-kill principles here.
