Pet Safety at Home

Pet Safety Tips

Take a closer look at some pet safety tips for your furry friend(s):

  • Be aware of your surroundings in public places, i.e. having your dog on a leash.
  • Teach your pet basic commands and establish training at home and in public areas.
  • Know common foods that are bad for pets. There are a lot of foods that can be toxic to dogs and cats. (Even plant lovers have to be mindful).
  • Keep your pets healthy, mentally and physically.
  • Have your pet microchipped to be able to keep track of them, anytime and anywhere. Book your service today at our Tartan Tails Veterinary Hospital to have your pet microchipped.
  • Put away all dangerous, chewable items.
  • Having an active pet is important. If you live in a house, you can keep your pets safe by installing a fence. Learn below how Citadel Fence can help you.

Safety Tip:

Eastwing Products Ltd. would like to remind all heat pump owners with pets to check their filters regularly.

If you have animals that shed, you should clean or replace your filters monthly. Your heat pump runs best when it is free of dirt and debris. Some are washable and some must be replaced. If they don’t shed, you can usually get two to three months out of a filter before it needs to be cleaned or replaced.

Cleaning or replacing your filters regularly will ensure great air quality and a smooth-running system for you and your pets during the hot summer months.
