Donate Securities

Give a Gift of Securities

Please make a gift of securities to the Nova Scotia SPCA. Not only will you be helping provide safe shelter, lifesaving care, and re-homing opportunities for thousands of abused and abandoned animals, you will also be reducing your taxes.

When you transfer securities directly to the Nova Scotia SPCA, rather than sell them and donate the proceeds, you will eliminate any capital gains tax otherwise owed. 

Securities can include stocks, mutual funds, segregated funds, bonds and employee stock options. A charitable tax receipt for the full market value of the donation will be provided to you and can help reduce the amount of tax you pay on your income. It’s a win-win for both you and our furry friends!
